I recently stayed at Alexandra Hotel and can confidently say it's one of Eastbourne's most underrated gems. From the moment I arrived, I felt incredibly well taken care of – the staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely committed to making my stay comfortable. The rooms are clean and cozy, and what truly sets this place apart is the sea view. I’ve stayed at a few properties along the seafront before, but this one easily offers one of the best views, if not the best. Waking up to the sound of waves and seeing the sun rise over the water from my window was unforgettable. Whether you're in town for a quiet retreat or a seaside getaway, Alexandra Hotel offers incredible value, great hospitality, and a view that will stay with you long after you leave. Highly recommended.

This hotel turned out to be far better than I expected given the price I paid. Winston and his staff were extremely welcoming and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. My single room was bright and clean with lovely views across to the beach and was by the look of it recently refurbished. Yes the toilet and shower was bijou with the sink being in the room but the fittings were newish and after all you don’t sleep in the toilet. Plenty of coffee, tea and milk were provided and replenished daily. The room also had a hairdryer and TV and small wardrobe The hotel wi-fi was reliable and cheap parking outside (2.35 per day) is available via daily permit. It’s around 10 mins from the pier, 5 mins from the Towner gallery and 1 min from the sea. Beachy head is around 15 mins by car. Eastbourne is a great location for visits to Bexhill, Hastings and Brighton and inland to places like Lewes. I was room only so cannot comment on the food. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel based on my stay for its friendly staff, facilities and as a location for exploring the Sussex coastal area

I treated my parents for a late birthday and a show stay and they came back with very big words about this place, they said it was amazing!! Winston was an amazing host, the breakfast was superb and the rooms were clean and very well looked after. They will be back in October!

We stayed here for one night, 7 of us in 4 rooms. It was our first time and we were more than happy with every aspect of our stay. We had a warm welcome from Winston who explained everything we needed to know. Rooms were spotless and comfortable. With windows closed, there was a faint smell of paint, however I find this completely understandable as the hotel is newly decorated and carpeted. No odour at all with the window ajar. Lounge area was very welcoming and comfortable, great attention to detail on interior decoration. Location is perfect to explore Eastbourne and price was fair for the service and standard we experienced. We would definitely return and recommend.

I stayed at this hotel recently and thought it was great. The staff were brilliant and took pride in looking after us during the visit. Room was very clean and comfortable and had a seaview. Had a full English breakfast and it was excellent. Would definitely recommend staying here.
